Baptism

We did Little Man's baptism on Sunday. He was a wonderfully calm little baby. He didn't even cry when he was doused with water.

My mom sent me the baptism gown that my Grandmother made for me. Every baby in our family has worn it so far. Except for Amelia. She wasn't a baby when she got baptized this summer so she got her own special dress. The gown is now almost 39 years old - and it is fragile... I was so worried it would rip while we were holding him but it didn't. And he didn't spit up on the gown once during church! Not that we got away totally clean - he saved the spitting up for at home as I was getting him undressed.Even more special than the gown were the flowers. We had ordered these flowers for Ellie's birthday. The women who take care of the church had made them last this long - and they still look great! It felt a little like she was making her presence known.

What lovely pictures, Donna. Your little man has such a great head of hair, too! :) It looks like it was a special day.
