31 weeks

WOW!!! Today marks 31 weeks for us. It is blowing my mind to be this enormously pregnant.

I remember thinking about being pregnant again after Ellie and being hopeful about making it to 28 weeks. When I found out I was pregnant this time I had plans for a September birth. In my mind I was hoping for 28 wks and planning for 24.

But now I'm so far beyond where I ever thought we would be - I feel guilty for being such a worried mess throughout the days and weeks that have gotten me here. I feel guilty for having a really good pregnancy when there are so many others out there who aren't as lucky.

So, since you were expecting such an early arrival, is everything all ready? Or were you not preparing a nursery, etc?

Don't feel guilty for being worried - you didn't know how this would work out for you! You've been burned once, so have all rights to be afraid.

It is wonderful that you are at 31 weeks. There is nothing we can do about the worry, water under the bridge! I'm really happy for you.

YaChun - I have even less done and planned for this baby than I did for Ellie. At least last time we still had a crib and some baby items left from YaYa. This time we don't even have a room cleaned out. The baby is going to come home with a carseat and a bassinet in our bedroom. T & I just haven't been able to bring ourselves to do any preparations because we are afraid that as soon as we do get the room ready something bad will happen. I guess it's just being superstitous.

Anyone want to come clean out and paint our office and turn it into a nursery?
