I know I'm a terrible blogger and don't really deserve to ask anything of anyone who still reads this sorry excuse for a blog - but I really could use your help.
My beautiful, sweet, amazing little girl is having a terrible time right now. And I'm at a complete loss for what to do.
Most nights she wakes up 3 or 4 times screaming and crying. Nothing seems to comfort her, because she is never truely awake.
In the morning she doesn't even remember waking up or having bad dreams.
Is there anything we can do to help her? Is this a sign of something serious?
I just don't know what to do to help her.

Hello Donna. I don't think I've ever commented here before but I've been reading here for a little while.
My daughter also has night terrors and it very frightening for both of us. Although her eyes are open, she is not actually awake and talking to her or cuddling her whilst she is in this state doesn't help as she doesn't really know that I'm there.
There is a little bit of advice here if that helps.

Sorry I can't be of more help. I hope that another of your readers might come up with something better. I just had to say something as I know how awful and scary it is to see your child in such distress and not be able to comfort them. x
While I have no first hand experience with night terors, I have never heard that they are due to something more serious. I hope it is something that passes quickly for your sweet little girl.
